DAMAGE MANAGEMENT POLICY. Full transparency on excess amounts and costs.
Trayectis Damage Policy
By signing the contract, the Customer authorises the Security Deposit to be blocked on the payment card. At the time of vehicle return, we will inspect the vehicle together with you. We have the right to charge you repair costs for any new damage not present at pickup, up to the limit of your insurance excess.
Administrative fee for damage management: €80.00 VAT included
Damage is classified as:
- Visible damage: Scratches, dents, broken headlights (documented with photos at pickup)
- Hidden damage: Mechanical or structural damage detected subsequently (within 48 hours of return)
- Natural wear: Minor surface scratches, dirt in the boot (not charged)
Vehicle Inspection
At pickup (Check-in): Our team will inspect the vehicle together with you. We will show you a photographic report of the initial condition. Any existing damage must be noted in the contract to avoid liability.
At return (Check-out): New photographic report and visual inspection. If the minivan is in perfect condition, the security deposit will be released in the hours following contract closure.
Hidden Damages — Detection and Collection
In rare cases, some damage may only be detected after return. In those cases:
- We will contact you within 5 business days with photos and repair estimate
- We will give you the opportunity to provide counter-evidence
- The charge will not exceed your insurance excess
- You may dispute the charge within 5 business days of notification
Technical Downtime
If the vehicle must be taken off the road for repairs due to damage caused during rental, a technical downtime fee may apply, covering lost earnings during the repair period. This fee is included within the insurance excess.
